Amarone della valpolicella classico
From a mid-October harvest of grapes left to dry on the vine. The harvest is gently crushed and destemmed before a slow fermentation in small, stainless steel vats. A long maceration follows, before the wine matures for at least 24 months in 20-30 hectoliter French oak barrels. This Amarone then rests for 8 months in bottle.
A harmonious demonstration of the style, in the glass velvety tannins support a full, rich profile of red-plum, cherry-tart, crushed white pepper and fruit-cake. Blood-orange acidity is woven throughout, maintaining a bright balance.
