TRENTINO-ALTO ADIGE/SÜDTIROL

Winemaker Lorenzo Simoni’s family is deeply tied to both Cantine Monfort and to Trentino, itself. Production began under his grandfather Giovanni in 1945, and by 1965 the Simoni family was able to purchase the cellars of Palazzo Monfort. In 1977, Lorenzo’s father took over as winemaker, paving the way for Lorenzo and his brother Michele.

Lorenzo has been involved in production on the estate since childhood. Today, he works together with his son Federico, their winemaking still deeply connected to the cycle of their harvests, and to the unique qualities of their lands’ soils.
