ALBERGOTTI FONTEROSSO.png

Fonterosso Chianti Riserva

Fonterosso is sourced from 50 hectares in Montesansavino, and vinified in the traditional Tuscan Governo style, with grapes undergoing a cold pressing with prolonged maceration. The wine is then aged for 2 years: 20% in small, 2 year old Missouri oak with medium toast, another 20% in small 2 year old French Allier barrels, 40% in medium Slavonian oak barrels, and 20% in stainless steel.

This makes for a particularly complex display in the glass, melding touches of cherry and tomato leaf with floral hints of violet, finishing with light, white spices and vanilla.
