Sourced from clay-based soils in Goia del Colle and Manduria, this full-bodied red ages for 10 months in steel, then 6 months in barrique, before resting in bottle. Its name marks a momentous time in Torrevento’s history, the year when eventual-owner Francesco Liantonio left his home at age 16, and came to New York.
It was there that he built his ice factory, providing the funds to purchase Torrevento. A robust red, packed with dark, stone-fruit notes and touches of citrus zest, tied together with the spice notes that the appellation is praised for.
